After graduating from Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee, Kevin Poston became a licensed associate realtor for the Saginaw Board of Realtors and a licensed real estate broker in Michigan. 

Kevin graduated in the top five percent of his college's class with a Bachelor of Science Degree in business administration, while receiving several honors for academic achievement. While attending the Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University, he graduated fourth in his class, earned a Juris Doctorate Degree, received numerous academic honors, served as Editor-In-Chief of Thurgood Marshall's Law Review, and won countless oratory competitions.

After Kevin's successful college and law school career, he joined the real estate department at Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone, one of Michigan's most respected law firms. Shortly after, he gained an associate position as well as became a partner and shareholder with Miro, Miro and Weiner, a premier law firm with offices in Michigan and New York. While at Miro, Miro and Weiner, Kevin negotiated and prepared documentation on many sophisticated and complex transactions, ranging from real estate and business acquisitions to corporate buyouts.

Kevin also played a major role in assisting the Michigan National Bank in the placement of a multi-million dollar loan to help finance the construction of The Palace, the new home of the Detroit Pistons' basketball team at the time.

Kevin has now been a successful sports agent for more than 28 years. Over this time, he has represented 17 first round selections, 9 top-ten overall draft picks, and has made 9 appearances in draft day Green Rooms. He has represented a #1 overall draft selection, two #2 overall draft selections, a #3 overall draft selection, a #4 overall draft selection, a #5, a #6 ... the list continues. Under Kevin's leadership, his firm has negotiated well over $1 billion dollars in sports team and marketing contracts. Kevin has been mentioned in Sports Illustrated as one of the most influential minorities in sports.

Kevin has received a Lifetime Achievement Award from his alma mater, Fisk University. He was the youngest to receive such an award from the school at the time and is the only person to receive one from his graduating college class.  Fisk later recognized Kevin again with a Professional Achievement Award. Kevin has also been honored with the only Distinguished Alumni Recepient Award from his high school graduating class at his 40th class reunion. 

Kevin has been featured on HBO's Real Sports with Byrant Gumbel, ESPN's Outside the Lines, ESPN's 30 for 30 ... just to name a few. He has spoken at many colleges and universities throughout the country, is a member of numerous sports, business and law associations, and sits on several corporate boards.

Kevin has taught sports law at Wayne State University's graduate school in Detroit, Michigan for several years. Kevin is also very much involved in giving back to his community. He has recently accepted an invitation to become a Goodwill Ambassador with Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries, whose purpose is to assist in the effort to transform about 1,800 less fortunate lives daily. Over the past decade, Kevin has been a featured speaker to LEAD program students at the University of Michigan's Ross Business School.

Kevin has published his family history, entitled “A Mustard Seed of Faith and The Grace of God: My Family from American Slavery into the Early 21st Century.” He has also recently published his second book entitled “Making Life Your Best Sport: Lessons in Effective Self- Leadership.”

Kevin currently lives with his wife, Kathy, in Farmington Hills, Michigan and is a father to three adult children, a daughter and two sons.
